Bloggers Poking fun at 'children blogs'
Why are there so many blogs that center around parents and their children?

More and more these days it seems that Bloggers are getting a kick out of making fun of and ridiculing parents who dedicate whole blogs to their children and their antics.
I can think of over 10 blogs right off the top of my head that are made by overly-excited parents when their children are born. My sister and her fiance for example when Claire was pregnant with Julian (which seems like ages ago, even though he's only 2). They started off their blog with baby updates and continued on from there. I guess it's a good reason to start a good blog, but oh well.
Some are okay, but they get to be too much when the doting mother's put up a hundred pictures of their children in cute clothes, school clothes, cute sunglasses, and the rest of those cliche 'cute' things. It gets to a point where every other blog really is a 'baby' blog.
Not that it bothers me that much, I just find it funny that there are so many. Why can't people find other reasons to start a blog?!
"Well, I think it's so very overrated now," Odd Thomas, owner of Fight-Olive blog told a reporter for Nine in the Afternoon blog yesterday afternoon, "People need to come up with something more original. Also, parents need to find a way to glorify their children so they spend hours and hours making posting and taking pictures. And there's always the classic picture of a hairy sleeping father with a bare-chest and his daughter/son sleeping on his chest (aw, so cute!)."
And Odd isn't the only one who seems to be poking fun at children blogs, countless others are following his example and getting a great kick out of it too.
Twisted, who hasn't been a blogger for a very long time, stated on his Twitter "I feel a sudden quiet rage when blogs pop up that are dedicated to children... there's no real point. Who's going to want to know about your children anyways?"
Well, that's where he's wrong. Statistics have gathered that the most viewed, commented, and followed blogs are those of doting parents. Obviously, it's only the parents friends that show so much interest in it, so Twisted is actually quite right when he says that other people won't be so interested.
Even so, bloggers will continue to poke their fun, and feel a jealous rage to the glorified parents who continue to get good blog ratings.
